What proof is there that Macbeth is the father of Undweyn? I have search and do not find any relations.

We seem to share Undweyn Maccus de Norseman and where do you go from there? I note that Maxwell’s and Lyons share Undweyn as first ancestor. In addition, Lyon is the family name that owns (inherited) Glamis castle - which is also Macbeth's castle. Edgar Shriver

Interesting! I know that Leroy De Norseman is a great great grandfather of mine, his mother was Platudinous de Norseman and from some internet info it look like she is related to Maccus de Norseman, but I hit a wall at that state. I am hoping that some peoples can fill in the gaps

Proceed with care on descendants of Undweyn. there are two at least trails to him in internet sites one (Geni) suggests birth c 1055, the other c 1105(roots web- and others). The LeRoy family records were burned 13th century. Perhaps there are Latin documents elsewhere i.e. Vatican. I too have fallen into this trap of misleading internet-based information. Tim

Thank Tim...Sometimes it is hard to know for sure who your ancestors are or not...but I did hit a wall with Undweyn...who knows who he is and whom he is related to

Geni has Maccus de Norseman as son of Undweyn de Norseman and Lady Platitudinous de Northman. Also has Maccus de Norseman as married to Lady Misability de Norseman. The well near the headwaters of river Tay is named after Maccus, namely Maccus well or the Maxwell clan. The sons who stayed there are in a well-established Maxwell lineage. They do not show Macbeth as father of Undweyn. Our lineage seems to switch to Normandy in France and it seems well established. They come to Quebec.-and US. De Norseman family gets back into myths and legends and doesn't seem to quite link up to Undweyn of Platitudinous or Miscibility but it certainly seems more likely than not that is our ancestral family. - in my opinion.

Officially, Macbeth has no male heirs other than a young son who was placed on the throne and shortly murdered. There is nothing that connects Undweyn Maccus to Macbeth other than people putting it in their trees. I found another reference to Undweyn father being Maccus of man who goes back to Ragnar Lodbrok but there is little evidence there also.

On the free Mormon site it shows Leroy De Norseman as son of Undewyn Maccus De Norseman...then suddenly it shows Mac Bethad MacRory with (17th king of Scots)..for emphasis...its exciting to find ...,but I wonder if its a marketing gimmick, to get you pay for whatever services might provide the proof...sort of like the old family crest con of pre~internet days....It doesnt help that 90% of the internet genealogy sites are owned by one corporation with ties to the latter day saints church...its a $360+ million per year business...I fell for the trap too...but havent given any money away for it yet...Thats why I like geni for checking out the stuff I find on the other site...The other site lost some credibility when they showed who my ancestors were "on the other side of the flood" to a particular son of Noah
